Terms and Conditions of Use
1. Who we are
YouGo is a technology platform (mobile application) of MZDEAL, Lda., a private limited company with NUIT 402090065, registered with the Conservatória do Registo de Entidades Legais under NUEL 105056689 on 18 September 2025, with articles of association published in the Boletim da República, Series III, no. 35, of 23 February 2026, with its registered office at Av. Daniel Malinda, Casa n.º 142, R/C, Bairro Central A, Distrito Municipal KaMpfumo, Cidade de Maputo, Mozambique, and holder of Licence (Alvará) no. 145/11/01/PS/2026 ("YouGo", "we").
MZDEAL's corporate purpose includes the development of mobile applications and the creation and management of logistics and delivery services in partnership with motorbike taxis and transport companies.
YouGo connects customers who need a ride or a delivery with independent partner drivers. YouGo is not a transport company: the transport service is provided by the driver, who is responsible for their vehicle, licences and insurance.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the application, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use YouGo.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Your account
The account is created with your phone number and a password. You must provide truthful information and keep your password secret: you are responsible for everything done with your account.
Each person may only have one account. We may suspend or close accounts involving false information, fraud or abusive use.
4. Requests and prices
Before you book, the application shows the total price in meticais (MZN). The price is calculated from a minimum fare, the distance, the estimated time and a YouGo service fee.
At rush hour, at night or when there is high demand and few drivers, the price may be multiplied; in that case the application tells you before you book.
The price is fixed at the moment you book and does not change during the trip.
5. Payments
Payment is made directly to the driver, in cash, by M-Pesa or by e-Mola, as you choose in the application. For mobile wallet payments, show the driver the confirmation SMS.
YouGo will never ask you for your mobile wallet PIN. Do not share your PIN with anyone, including drivers.
The driver may not charge an amount different from the one shown in the application. If this happens, report it in the application.
6. Cancellations
You can cancel free of charge while the application is looking for a driver and during the first 3 minutes after a driver accepts.
After that, cancellation incurs a fee (Moto 15 MZN, Txopela 20 MZN, Economy 30 MZN, Comfort 40 MZN, Delivery S 20 MZN, Delivery M 40 MZN), which compensates the driver for the time and fuel spent.
You do not pay a fee if the driver is more than 10 minutes late compared with the time shown when they accepted.
If the driver arrives at the pickup point and the customer does not show up within 5 minutes, the driver may cancel and the same fee applies.
The cancellation fee is added to the price of your next trip, and the application shows it before you book.
7. Rules of conduct
Treat the driver with respect, wear your seat belt and do not damage the vehicle.
The following may not be sent by delivery: drugs, weapons, ammunition, explosives, flammable or hazardous products, large amounts of cash or valuables, live animals, false documents or any illegal item. The customer is responsible for the contents and packaging of the parcel. The driver may refuse a suspicious parcel.
Discrimination, harassment and violence lead to the immediate closure of the account and may be reported to the authorities.
8. Safety
During the trip you can use "Problem with the trip?" to call the Police (119) or an Ambulance (117), share the trip with a family member and report a problem to YouGo.
In an emergency, always contact the authorities first.
9. Ratings and messages
At the end of each trip you can rate the driver. The trip chat is only for arranging the trip: do not send insults, illegal content or sensitive data. Messages may be reviewed by YouGo support in the event of a complaint.
10. Lost items
If you leave an item in the vehicle, report it in the application. YouGo helps you contact the driver, but is not responsible for the loss or condition of the items.
11. Liability
YouGo makes every effort to keep the application running, but does not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, or that drivers will always be available.
As an intermediary, YouGo is not liable for delays caused by traffic, mobile network failures or acts of the driver or the customer, except where Mozambican law does not allow such liability to be excluded, including the rights provided for in consumer protection legislation.
12. Intellectual property
The YouGo brand, logo, design and the content of the application belong to MZDEAL, Lda. You may not copy or use them without permission.
Maps use data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence).
13. Suspension and closure
You can stop using YouGo and request the deletion of your account at any time in your Profile.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where possible.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. When a change is significant, we will notify you in the application before it takes effect. Continuing to use YouGo after that means you accept the new version.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Mozambique. In the event of a dispute, we will first try to reach an amicable solution through YouGo support. If that is not possible, the judicial courts of the City of Maputo have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the rights the law guarantees to consumers.

Terms for Partner Drivers
1. Requirements
To be a YouGo driver you must be at least 18 years old and keep the following valid: Identity Card (Bilhete de Identidade), a driving licence for the vehicle category, vehicle documents, compulsory third-party liability insurance, inspection and the licences required by the municipality where you work.
YouGo may request copies of these documents and a photograph, verify them, and refuse or suspend the registration if they are not in order.
Identity verification and liveness check: the driver sends photos of their documents through the application, along with a few selfies making gestures requested on the spot (for example, looking straight ahead, turning their head, smiling). An automated system confirms that a real person is in front of the camera, and the YouGo team compares the selfie with the document. YouGo may request a new liveness check from time to time, to confirm that the account holder is the one driving. Without an approved verification, YouGo may prevent the driver from going online.
It is forbidden to lend the account, let another person drive on your behalf or send documents or photos of third parties.
2. Relationship with YouGo
The driver is an independent professional. These Terms do not create an employment contract. The driver decides when to go online or offline and is responsible for their own taxes, expenses and legal obligations.
3. Balance and top-ups
To receive requests, the driver keeps a prepaid balance in the application, topped up via M-Pesa or e-Mola. Top-ups of 500 MZN or more receive a bonus (5%, 8% or 12%, depending on the package).
For M-Pesa top-ups, the application sends a payment request to the driver's phone; the driver confirms with their PIN on their own phone (YouGo never sees or asks for the PIN) and the balance is credited automatically when M-Pesa confirms the payment. For e-Mola top-ups, the balance is credited after YouGo confirms the transfer.
For PayPal top-ups, the amount is charged in US dollars (USD), at the exchange rate and with the fee shown in the application before paying; the balance is credited automatically when PayPal confirms the payment.
A balance of at least 50 MZN is required to go online, as well as enough balance to cover the commission on each request.
The balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest. When closing the account, the driver may request a refund of the balance topped up and not used, minus any amounts owed. Bonuses are not refunded.
4. Commissions
For each completed trip, YouGo deducts its commission from the balance: 12% of the fare for Moto and Txopela, 15% for Economy and Deliveries and 18% for Comfort, plus the service fee (5 or 10 MZN), shown on the request before accepting.
If, on that trip, the customer pays a cancellation fee from an earlier trip, that amount is also deducted from the balance, because it belongs to the driver who was compensated.
Founding Driver: drivers who joined under the "Founding Driver" promotion pay 20% less commission, with no time limit, as long as the account remains active and complies with these Terms.
5. Customer payments
The customer pays the driver directly the amount shown in the application. The driver confirms in the application whether they received it. It is forbidden to overcharge, to demand a tip as a condition or to ask for the customer's mobile wallet PIN.
6. Cancellations
When the customer cancels after the free period, or does not show up after 5 minutes of waiting at the location, the driver receives the cancellation fee in their balance.
It is forbidden to ask the customer to cancel, to tap "I've arrived" far from the pickup point or to cancel repeatedly without reason.
7. Conduct and safety
Comply with the Highway Code, never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, keep the vehicle clean and safe and use only the registered vehicle and number plate.
Treat all customers with respect, without discrimination. The account is personal: it may not be used by anyone else.
8. Location
While you are online or on a trip, the application sends your location to show the vehicle to the customer and to calculate routes.
9. Customer data
Customer data (name, phone number, addresses) may only be used to carry out the trip. It is forbidden to store or share it, or to contact the customer after the trip for other purposes.
10. Rating, suspension and deactivation
YouGo may suspend or deactivate drivers with a very low average rating, serious complaints, fraud, invalid documents or breach of these Terms.
